Compiled Templates

Infomaxim 4.x now includes full support for Infomaxim 3.x template markup (MIRL) plus the massive added performance advantage that templates are compiled at publish time.

In version 3.x, template markup was interpretted at render-time. The overhead of this requirement was mitigated by caching.

Now with version 4.x, caching is only required on sites with extraordinary heavy load. Template markup is now interpreted and compiled when the template is published. The resulting template page is executable server code, ready to run when a page is requested. However, you can also include your own custom code within page markup, enabling the best of both worlds.

Of course, the vast majority of template requirements can still be achieved with no custom scripting at all..
